Features

Gain Insight. Treat by Treat.

PetPalate handles the calorie math and trend calculations in the background, giving you a clearer view of what your pet is eating and how their weight is changing.

Logging

Log food without the busywork

Search the food database, scan a barcode or label, create recipes, or quickly reuse foods and serving amounts you have logged before.

Trends

See the trend, not just one weigh-in

Follow your pet’s weight and calorie trends over time, so normal day-to-day changes do not obscure the bigger picture.

Estimates

Estimates that adapt to your pet

PetPalate starts with a profile-based energy estimate, then uses recorded food intake and weight trends to refine its estimate over time.

Household

One record for the whole household

Household plans keep food logs, weights, and progress synchronized between caregivers without making shared feeding the entire product.

How it works

A Clearer Picture of Your Pet’s Energy Needs

Generic calculators can only provide a starting point. PetPalate combines your pet’s recorded intake with their weight trend to develop a more individualized estimated daily energy range as more information becomes available.

Step 01

Start with their profile

Add your pet’s basic information, current weight, and a goal you selected or discussed with your veterinarian.

Step 02

Record food and weight

Log what your pet eats and add periodic weight entries. Saved foods and serving amounts make repeated logging faster.

Step 03

Learn from the trend

As more records become available, PetPalate updates its estimate based on your pet’s actual intake and observed weight trend.

PetPalate is an informational tracking tool and does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Estimates depend on the accuracy and completeness of the information entered.

From the founders

Why We’re Building PetPalate

When we were told our cat needed to lose weight, we expected the process to be straightforward. Instead, we found confusing food labels, scattered records, noisy weigh-ins, and calorie calculators that never adapted to what was actually happening.

We built PetPalate to bring those pieces together. It makes food logging more convenient, turns individual weigh-ins into an understandable trend, and does the underlying math needed to show how intake and weight are changing together.

We want PetPalate to be focused, transparent, and honest about uncertainty. It is supported by subscriptions rather than advertising or selling user data. The app is still early, and feedback from beta testers will help us make it more useful for both cat and dog owners.

Goal

Help shape the beta

We are looking for pet owners willing to log food and weight consistently and tell us where the experience can be improved.
